(2017-2019) Niepe Construction performed various jobs throughout the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project ranging from construction of concrete lined drains, Fauna Crossings, End Structures, various miscellaneous concrete jobs and most notably the construction of the Viaduct Bridge (Pictured).
(2016-2017) Niepe Construction was involved on the Boundary Road Interchange project in Narangba. Niepe constructed a 6 lane, 4 span bridge and 2 shared user path bridges over the motorway and on ramps. Niepe also had been engaged to construct barriers and drainage structures.
(March 2012) Engaged to construct six bridges and the Springfield Station arched structure shown below. We faced many challenges associated with the construction of the arch piers in the Springfield Station including sourcing a formwork design which would meet the tight Trackstar program and budget and eventually we decided on a modular travelling system. Niepe is also engaged to construct various other structures throughout the project including abutments, capping beams, columns, headstocks and deck slabs. (March 2015 - May 2015) Niepe Construction was contracted by RoadTek to assist with the construction of four headwalls in the Lockyer Valley. The works revolved around two existing pipe crossings under the Warrego Highway that consisted of twin 2300mm diameter concrete pipes. (October 2011 – December 2013) Engaged to construct three bridges on the Pacific Highway Upgrade near Coffs Harbour, including the Northbound Bridge, Off-ramp Bridge and Bark Hut Bridge. Abutment wingwalls ranged in height from 7.5m to 10m. Niepe was able to deliver the bridges under program despite working in an extremely confined area and with continually inclement weather. (August 2010 – April 2012) Involved in the construction of protective treatments and 2km of retaining walls along the Pacific Motorway and the QR corridor. (August 2007 – June 2012) Involved in the construction of various structures within the southern section of the works including CROP railway bridge, Wynnum Road Bridge, Old Cleveland Road Bridge and a number of associated works including in situ barriers, gantry bases and RC retaining walls. The works on the southern section involved a number of green field structures and widening of existing structures which required flexibility in work hours and shifts to meet the requirements of the project deed. (January 2010 – October 2012) Involved in construction of various structures throughout the Busway corridor including the twelve span viaduct substructure and superstructure, parapets, retaining walls, arrival structures, Area 3 cut & cover tunnel concrete works, hard landscaping, RC retaining walls and installation of anti-throw screens and noisewall panels. Scope also included set up of site crib facilities including construction of concrete slabs, awnings and installation of crib sheds and ablution blocks as well as final rectification works. (November 2012 – December 2013) Niepe Construction has successfully completed concrete structures works to the new DP World Port of Brisbane Terminal expansion project under subcontract to York . The works included the construction of 4.4km of reinforced concrete rail support beams which will be utilised for the movement of automated stacking cranes. The project required a dedicated and motivated construction team working directly with our client York Civil to complete the project efficiently and to the highest quality. Niepe provided skilled personnel under contract to complete the instillation of formwork, reinforcing and the placement of concrete to fine tolerances and under a tight construction program. Niepe Construction also provided a dedicated 32m Boom pump that was purchased for the project to allow for continuous placement of concrete across the project with a dedicated machine. The focus on the construction program allowed Niepe to experiment with an innovative steel formwork design which enable fast transition on repetitive concrete structures. Works include the supply of skilled labour to assist RoadTek work crews, Form Reo and Pour of concrete structures such as end structures, culverts, floodways and bridges.
